Request/problem:
Our client requires a special wizard that aims at simplifying the configuration of his drives.
That wizard should be built in the CODESYS IDE (Windows) as a CODESYS Automation Platform Plug-In.
That Plug-In must communicate with different pre-existing customized plug-ins.
A GUI to configure different features of the drive is to be developed.
Special algorithms to calculate drive parameters based on the signal measurements are to be developed as well.
Solution:
The user interface was prepared for the several wizard pages.
We designed the integration architecture to define how the plug-in communicates with the pre-existing plug-ins and developed the corresponding interface.
The plug-in was developed in C# using CODESYS Automation platform.
Tests were performed together with the customer onsite on a real machine.
All developed algorithms were tested in advance using a simulation environment.
Each page displays some system parameters that can either be configured visually or using a list of parameters.
